A New Chanel

Hi guys, it has been a long time that I have not touched my blog. I moved into living with my big family, and I had not tried any recipes yet. It means that I have nothing to write. Lol.

Guess what? I just made my own Youtube Channel. Actually, my mind is like a sieve these days; on top of that, I cannot remember what I had done before. I was scared, and afraid a lot. Finally, in addition to my blog, I decided to make my channel to save my memories. Next time, I can see what I've done. I am trying to do it, and I am happy with what I am doing now. The channel is 2L's House, and it is all about my hobbies, such as cooking, sewing, crochet, etc.

I am doing on sewing projects nowadays because my channel is still a secret. I am so shy to let my family know as well as to film in the house, lol. If you are interested in sewing, just follow my channel. I hope you will enjoy it.

Year-End Summation 2016

It is time to say goodbye to 2016. Let's see what I have done during this year. 

English: I am still standing in the same place. I need to speak more and more.

Actually, this year is the craziest year that I have never had in my life. 

I will never forget this year. 

It is hard to say everything that I really wanted to say...

Dresses for summer

I bought a lot of fabrics when I came to The U.S. I thought that they are expensive here, and I am right. Everything costs an arm and a leg here. I did not regret when I brought my fabrics here. Hold on! I start to use my fabrics after 2 years from the day I came here. Hehehe.

My weekend

Yay, today is Monday. It means I have to study hard because my teacher is so tough. I get a lot of homework every day, so I do not have enough time to do what I love anymore. Last weekend, I just finished my first test, so I felt that I was free. Muaha muaha.

Saturday, I decided to try some recipes, and they were failed after all. I forgot to put butter in my bread, so the dough was too tough. However, it tasted so good and the taste that I got from my childhood. Thanks, Van Ngoc Nguyen for sharing a great recipe. I am going to try her recipes soon. Hehehe

Kolaches again

Kolaches were prepared for my niece's birthday last weekend. I made 2 batches early morning and brought to my brother's house at noon. 

Everybody said that the kolaches were delicious, and I was so happy that he/she loved the bread. 

My betel leaves' story

I got 3 betel stems from a kind friend this winter. I kept them in my house and waited for summer to bring them out. Hehehe. After I brought them out, one of them died. T_T. There were two. Sad. Their leaves felt day by day again and again.

Drawing

I found out that I drew many cartoon characters before. Muaha muaha. Of course, I save and post them here. It is fun when I see what I have done. It was almost 5 years. Wow wow. I remember that I drew them when I got stress from work and school. How fun it was? 

Being nice

      This semester, I study at a small campus. I am very happy about that because I can get the best place to study on this campus. Besides, I can see how people behave in this small world. That is my hobby. Just sitting on a seat, and look around when I am tired because of homework.
      I have been here for four weeks, and I realize that most students moved the furniture even when there are many warning boards on the wall. It is easy to understand because there are not enough chairs for them when they want to have lunch and chat with their friends. That is why they must move the chairs. However, the big problem is they mostly do not bring the furniture back to the place they suppose to be. This becomes predominantly here. When I saw cleaner's face. I know that she was not happy when she moved the chairs back.

     I do not know what is going on in this world. Yes, we pay for the cleaner to clean the campus but we do not pay for her to arrange what they mess. How rude?

Pizza's story

          I have never thought that someday, I can make pizza. Making pizza idea just came because of yucky, oily American pizza. Actually. when I lived in the North of Texas state, I usually ate Domino's Pizza. This store made pizza so well. I love the crust and the topping on it. Yummy! My mouth is watering now. hehehe. When I moved to live in the South, I was really excited to buy Domino's pizza. All I got from this store was dumb. The pizza was so salted and was so oily.  I decided to make pizza on my own after that.

Love

Nowadays, I cannot bake bread well. I do not know what is going on with me now. The dough was wet and not elastic, so the bread was fluffy sometimes, and it was not. I thought that maybe, I was sick for a very long time. That is why my hands are too weak. Consequently, I could not knead my dough well. The bread was still not right as before. I was thinking about that all the time. Finally, I realized that it was because of me. I lost my love when I bake my bread. Yes, it is the reason that I am looking for. Nowadays, I do not find new bread recipes to try. When I bake bread, I did not feel excited anymore. When you do something without love, you cannot get the right thing that you really want.

An Old Apartment

     This is the place that kept my memories... Today, I am checking my folders, and I see these pictures. It made me remember that time. That was so bewildered because I was new there.

Tofu story

As my friends said, "I might cause the economics is going down because I produce everything like sausage, soy sauce, vinegar, etc." and now I make tofu on my own. Hehehe

Actually, I have not ever thought that I will make tofu. It was when I bought tofu from the stores in Houston. Yuck!!! The tofu became mildewy after a day. I threw them away and tried to buy next time but they were. 

Finally, I tried to make homemade tofu and I struggled to get them. There were a lot of recipes online. But they used many kinds of coagulators that I must buy. I did not want to, so I found the recipes that I could use things which are always available in my kitchen to make coagulators. It was so convenient.

Bread story

     Nowadays, I have been addicted to making bread. I can not describe how I feel while I am baking them. I always sit in front of my oven to see how they change. The smell is so fragrant and attractive. I do not know how enigma it is. There are just flour, sugar, butter, yeast, and "things". We just adjust the ratios of the ingredients and then we can get many kinds of bread. Absolutely unbelievable!!!!

Suong noodle (vegan)

We ate vegan today. The Suong noodle is one kind of noodle in my country. Suong is made by shrimp paste, but my suong was made by tofu hehehe. Thanks, DS for sharing this recipe.

Wonton noodles with charsiu

Yay!!! Eating wonton in winter is not a bad idea, isn't it? My hub made wonton and I made charsiu. I love those recipes. Gonna save those recipes now. 

Meat balls

I made Vietnamese meatballs more than 10 times from the day I came here. My hub loves this recipe. Today, I was trying to make it and tried another recipe. Hehehee. I was lazy, so I used tomato paste instead of tomatoes. 

A rainy day

We went out today for walking and it was raining so heavy. Hahaha. I will remember this day. It is a sweet memory even though we did something fool.

I am back

It is almost three years that I did not touch my blog. Many things happened to me. I moved to The U.S. for a living... It is tough to live here, though. However, I love to... There is an important person who always supports me all the time. Today, I was going around my house (blog). I was so surprised that I could make a lot of meals even when I was so busy, such as working, studying at that time. However, I still did very well. It is so interesting when I read and know which I had done before. After pondering, I decided to write my blog more and more. I really knew that it will waste my time but let give it a try. In the future, I can know how I feel at that time. Now I came back and try to build my house again.

BBQ party

I had a BBQ party yesterday at my girl friend's house. The party was prepared by my girlfriend with 2 persons. I regretted that I couldn't help them to prepare for this party because of my homework. Anyway, I had a good time with them last night. Sending thanks and best wishes to everybody. ^^
