Cheesecakes are not my favorite cake, actually. However, I have made the lemon cheesecake several times because my husband's best friend really loves the cake. I am so happy when he said that he felt like he is in the heaven for the first time he tried my cheesecake. Yep, I couldn't agree more that the best compliment for the cook is someone loves yours. I planned to write the recipe down for your future wife, W, but I didn't finish it, yet. Today, I am writing it down, and this recipe is for yours. I am always pleased to bake the cake whenever you want, W. Just tell my hubby.

Smooth and thick caramel flan cakes - Recipe

A perfect flan cake is smooth, soft, and without hollows or honeycomb inside the cake. Of course, honeycomb is a tough thing to do with, and there are many people, who love flan cakes are struggling with this problem. 

Many recipes said that there are 2 reasons to cause the honeycomb. First, when you whisk the eggs, you should whisk them gently. Otherwise, bubbles will appear, and they cause the honeycomb. Second, when you bake or steam the cakes, do not cook them with high heat because the cake will be boiled itself, and it causes honeycomb in it. In other words, a low heat is a good way to do with it. 

However, you are not doing what they said. All you need to do is mixing or whisking the eggs as hard as you can. If you whisk the eggs gently, you might waste your time and your eggs when you strain it. How about the heat? Don't worry! I have the way to do with it. Just continue to read! Hehehe

Pineapple cookies

This is the first time that I made cookies. Actually, I see this recipe from a blog, and the owner calls them as pineapple tarts. I call them as cookies because they look like the cookies that I bought from the store. Hehehe.

Vietnamese sweet rolls

I wanted to make this cake a long time ago. I remember the day that I and my dad watched T.V, and he said that he loves this cake. I would make it at that time, but I did not. Last week, I just finished my class, and I had free time, so I tried the recipe. The cake was so delicious, but it was not as sweet as my dad and someone said. When I made the cake, I was not in a good mood. Anyways, everybody loved the cake.

The second one was so close, but its taste was different from what we ate before. I do not know how to describe its taste. The one I ate in my country, it was very smooth. It dissolved in my mouth very smoothly. However, the second one broke in my mouth instead of dissolving.

Making golden syrup for mooncakes

I want to make mooncakes long time ago, but I am scared of making golden syrup. I do not want to use lye water to make syrup, because it is dangerous for my health.

Finally, I decided to make on my own this year. I am not sure it will be on time or not because my mold is still not here. Hehehe.

I cooked my syrup for mooncakes, and I thought that I do not need to write the recipe. However, I changed my mind. I think I should type it so I can use for next time. Besides, for someone who really needs it.

Bao cakes

Candied ginger

This is the first time I make candied ginger. I am so excited. It took me 2 days to finish it, but there was not much work to do.  Hehehe

I thought it would not become candied ginger when it was like this. I thought I would get the ginger jam. Hehehehe

I am so tired because of this cake. I may not make them anymore. This recipe is pretty good, but I do not satisfy with this. Their smell is too strong.

Lod chong - cendol

This is one kind of desert in my country. I tried to make them many times before and they failed. Making their battle is not easy hehehe. I could make it today, but they were not crunchy as I wanted. So I should try another recipe.
