How to season a cast iron skillet?

Who does not want to use nonstick skillets? Of course, you do want to, right?  However, the nonstick pans in markets usually are not good for your health. The nonstick coating might mix with your meals in many ways. That is why I came up with cast iron skillets. Of course, we can make the skillet being nonstick easily. If you want your skillet more nonstick, just follow my tip step by step.
Preheat the oven to 325~350 F degree.

Step 1: Scrub and wash the cast iron skillet with hot soapy water. This is the only time you can wash your cast iron by soap.
Step 2: Dry the skillet thoroughly.
Step 3: Then coating all of the skillet (handle, inside, and outside) by peanut oil or vegetable oil. Do not use olive oil, because it cannot stand the high temperature.

Step 4: Place the skillet upside down on the middle rack of the preheated oven. Place foil on the lower rack to catch the drips from the skillet.
Step 5: bake for 1 hour.
Step 6: turn off the oven, DO NOT take the skillet out of the oven. Let it cool in the oven. Sometimes, one section is all you need.  This is an important step to season your skillet.

Done

Wait! I have finished yet, lol. actually, you can place your skillet into your cabinet now. However, the coating on the skillet is very sticky and thick. That is why you should do the step 7.
You can see the coating after I clean it. It is very hard to clean
Step 7: Scrub and wash the cast iron skillet in running hot water until the coating is gone.

       Step 7.1: Dry it.
Step 7.2: Coating it with vegetable oil.
Place it in your cabinet

Almost done!!!
