Hey, if you are new to the serger, please read it before you open the box. Normally, the serger will come with the threads on it, all you have to do is DO NOT take them out. Yeah, I am saying that again DO NOT take all of the thread out of the machine. The reason is you can pre-thread your machine from those threads.
You can watch the video how I pre-thread your machine as well as continue to read to the end. I know that there is someone, who like to read instead of watching like me. Muaha muaha.
Step 1: Pull the thread from the spools and draw them through the thread guide.
Step 2: tie the thread ends together.
To pre-thread the machine we start from the lower looper, upper looper, and right and left needles.
Step 3: raise the presser foot, draw (pull) the thread of the LOWER looper and UPPER looper
until the knots coming out from under the back of the presser foot.
Step 4: However, stop drawing the needle threads when the knots reach just in front of the needle eyes.
Cut the knots,
and thread the needles.
Final step: before running the machine, clear the threads under the presser foot to make sure they are not caught below the needle plate.
It sounds not hard, doesn't it? Have fun with your machine, let create!
Hana.
